Join the Wayne County Performing Arts Council under the sea this summer! WaCPAC
presents the musical, “ Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.” the weekends of June 15th and
22nd at the Wooster High School Performing Arts Center. For more details, pick up a flyer
from the main office.

Students please be aware that we now have a green bucket located at the dishroom window for any drinks that may be left in a container you want to throw away.  Please use it so we can avoid sloppy messes of liquid leaking out of garbage cans.  Thank You for your cooperation!

The transportation forms for 2018/19 were handed out in English classes.  ALL students in the district MUST turn in a form, one form per student.  This form is required, even if not riding the bus.  Please take yours home, have a parent or guardian fill out and sign the form, and bring it back as soon as possible.  Bring completed forms to the office.

Senior Awards will be held on May 22 @ 7pm in the HS auditorium.

Sunday May 27 there will be a Baccalaureate program at Mohican Church @ 2pm.  All invited but not mandatory.

Wednesday, May 30 and Friday, June 1 @ 9am is mandatory graduation practice for all seniors who are planning on walking.  Friday Lifetouch will be taking a senior class picture @ 9am.  Please wear college or military branch clothing for the picture.  Picture forms are available in the front office.

Senior Exams will take place Wednesday and Thursday, May 23 & 24.

Underclassmen exams will take place Friday, May 25, Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30.

Graduation will be held in the HS gymnasium on June 3rd at 2pm.  Marty’s Studio will be taking graduation portraits during the ceremony.  If interested, please pick up an order form in the HS front office.  The orders need to be placed and turned in to Mr. Wes Martin NO LATER THAN June 1st.

There is now a blue recycling bin near the snack vending machine.  Please try to use it for cans and plastic bottles.  The left side is for plastic bottles and the right side is for cans.  

Guidance Announcements

Seniors: Names of students who have earned an Academic Honors Diploma and/or a Career-Tech Honors Diploma are listed on the Guidance door. Please review and stop into Guidance if you have any questions.

Goodyear (located in Akron, OH) is hosting a job shadowing event on June 5, 2018 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm for interested high school students. This event is limited to the first 40 students who register. Students will hear from Goodyear associates who work in the areas of Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing. Summer PE and Summer Financial Management information and registration forms are now available in the guidance office or on the guidance webpage.  There is also information on summer courses through TRECA.

Attention Seniors: Wayne Co. Community Federal Credit Union, Benjamin E. Moody, Order of the Eastern Star, Don & Teara Buren, Ashland County 4-H, and Vertical Runner Wooster Running Club all have upcoming scholarship deadlines. Check the Scholarship List on Naviance or see Guidance for details.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced that his office is now accepting applications for its Teen Ambassador Board.  Ohio high school students who will be juniors or seniors during the 2018-2019 school year are eligible to apply. The deadline is May 31, 2018.  “This is an opportunity for students to learn more about government, meet new people, and share their insights and perspectives,” Attorney General DeWine said. “We encourage interested students to apply.”

Wooster Brush is looking for summer employees.  You must graduate this summer, and have plans to attend college in the fall but are willing to give an 8 week commitment with no vacation breaks.  See the guidance office if interested.
