Land Purchase

As residential development begins, the availability of suitable land for future school facilities becomes increasingly limited. At the same time, property values and construction costs may continue to rise. Securing land would give the district the ability to protect strategically located property before it is developed. As a result, the district invested in 14.1 acres adjacent to the elementary school to protect our current infrastructure. The district purchased the land for $282,000 in December 2025.  

It preserves options for future boards and community members. If enrollment grows or educational and operational needs change, the district will have appropriate locations available for future additions, athletic facilities, transportation operations, or other student-focused uses.

Acquiring or reserving land before an urgent need arises is a responsible way to manage growth and protect taxpayers from potentially greater expenses later.
