Fixed-Sum Levy Renewal Information- November 3, 2026

Northwestern Local Schools will have a Fixed-Sum Levy Renewal that will appear on the November 3, 2026 ballot. 

In 2016, our community approved a ten-year Emergency Levy that provides $456,400 annually to support the day-to-day operations of our district. This levy is set to expire at the end of this calendar year (December 2026).

Due to recent legislative changes, districts are now limited to renewing these levies as fixed-sum levies for a period of five years. This means:

• This is a renewal—not a new tax

• There is no increase in taxes for homeowners

• The levy will continue to provide previously approved funding for our schools
