JFS, People to People partner again to provide back-to-school supplies and clothing for eligible students
The Wayne County Job and Family Services will partner with People to People Ministries to provide back-to-school supplies and clothing to income-eligible students.

Instead of having the children pick up a backpack and fill it with supplies and clothes, the backpacks will already be filled. People to People is working with Payless ShoeSource on providing new shoes, and 7 items of underclothing to last throughout the entire week.
Having everything ready to go in the backpacks should help parents.
Eligible families cannot earn more than 200 percent of the federal poverty level ($48,600 for a family of four).
Of the 563 children who were signed up for the back-to-school program a year ago, 494 were eligible to receive funding through the money JFS provided.
JFS Director Rich Owens said his agency will make up to $30,000 available.
